This is my Writing page . I will post my writing on this.

When I am faced with a difficult task I prefer to get it done in the late afternoon early evening. There are many ways I believe this is the best way. One reason is the nice cool breeze in the evening. Another reason is that there is a beautiful sunset outside, and is very enjoyable to look at while you do your demanding task. One more reason of many is there is plenty of wildlife that is fun to see scampering around.

My demanding task is going on a run. I believe the best time to go on a run like I said earlier is in the late afternoon early evening is the best time to go on a run. I like the motivation in the late afternoon early evening. It pushes me to do more and never give up cause you know you will be rewarded when you get home with a nice big cup of ice water and a good night's sleep but most of all the accomplishment of completing the run.

I dont like the mornings to go on a run either. A Few reasons why i don't prefer running in the morning is because of many reasons. One being the morning there are usually lots of cars because of people going to work. Also when you wake up you don't feel like going for a run all you feel like doing when you wake up is going back to bed, and after you wake up again all you feel like doing is eating breakfast then you have to go on with your day. Those are a few reasons why I don’t like to run in the morning.

The afternoon is not good to go on a run because you will want to do other things and it will be very hot. The afternoon will be very hot because the sun is at its peak. And in the afternoon you might want to go play with your friends or do something else that you enjoy.

Those are a few reasons why I prefer to do my demanding task which is running in the late afternoon early evening.

One time on May,9,2013 in Wichita Kansas, There was 4 kids playing at a park. Named Joe,Mike,Grace, and Ashley.

Joe had dirty blond hair with blue eyes and was very athletic.Mike had brown hair brown eyes and also was athletic. Grace had Blond hair blue eyes and also was athletic. Ashley hd black hair black eyes and as the others was very athletic.

It all began at 11:30 AM when they all meet at the park. “Hey” said Ashally to Grace grace responded “how are you” Ashley was goo. As they went over to the playground they saw the boys racing up they were like cheetahs.

As the boys reached them they saw dark clouds rolling in. one of them thought it mite be a tornado but the others said no. They went over to the swings the clouds were getting darker. They were a little scared. 10 minutes later they heard a loud bell signaling a tornado. They started to run when they heard a cry so they turned around and searched they saw a cat. Immediately they tried to get him or her out of the tunnel as they pulled her out they were getting whipped around as they ran they went to the closest house with the cat. Fortunately the person was really kind and let them in.

There was period of time in the history of the United States when slavery was legal. As hard as it is to believe, until the end of the Civil War in the 1860s, it was legal with in southern states to enslave black African Americans and force them to work on southern plantations. These people endured harsh treatment, inhuman living conditions, and endless amounts of grueling labor for the benefit of the plantation owner and his family.

Enslaved people survived in spite of the brutal housing for the slaves at the plantations. These crowded cabins were barely livable and lacked any form of privacy. Slaves slept in a leaky cabin with only a small fire pit in the center for warmth. These horrible houses usually had 12 slaves in theme with holes in the walls for light. The housing conditions for slaves were the least of their problems compared to their work and treatment.

The fieldwork was way worse than the housing conditions. They had to toil in the fields all day long from sun up to sun down with only a small break for lunch. Most of the work that slaves did was picking cotton boils. Field workers didn't even have shoes to wear so they tied rags around their feet for a little protection. There were always overseers in the fields, looking if everyone was working but, not just working working hard all day long. The overseers would watch you to see if you were working hard enough, and if they didn't think so they would whip you till you learned a lesson. Field slaves would sing what they called slave songs to keep rhythm when picking cotton boils, so they didn't get whipped. The owner of the plantation and their families, could have been the slaves worst enemy.

Domestic workers worked inside the plantation owners and his family's house cleaning, cooking, dressing them, and anything else you can think of doing. Even though they were still slaves they did have some advantages. Being a domestic worker allowed them to have better clothes, food, and also better housing because the plantation's owner didn't want a dirty and unhealthy person working in their house. Domestic work seems easier but it was still hard physical labor, and took place both day and night. Domestic workers had to do a lot of different things every day. These workers were normally girls and had to wear uniforms. If you think this is bad wait till you hear the rest of the hardships slaves had to go through.

Treatment was way worse than the work. They were like mice getting caught in a mousetrap. If a slave tried to run away, there were people called overseers who would catch them and hobble them or worse. Hobbling is when the overseers would cut of the front of the slaves foot so they couldn't run. One of the big reasons why they used that punishment is so when other slaves saw this, they would never try to escape. They didn't want to take a chance of them getting hobbled. After working all day slaves had to go back to their crowded cabin and make themselves dinner and mend their chloes from the days work. All these things must have been hard for the slaves, but the treatment had to be the worst.

Slavery finally ended after 200 miserable years with the civil war. The 13th Amendment was signed in 1865 by Abraham Lincoln ending slavery in America forever. The civil war was fought between the north and south. The southern region fought to keep slavery alive, however, the northern region fought to end slavery.
